It is with tremendous sadness that I have to give the news that dear Ron passed away. Those of you who have followed him on his FB page will know that he was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year. Our thoughts and condolences go out to. This website will remain in perpetuity as his legacy to the sporting traditions and social history of the Lake District.

News Events. Lakeland Trailhound Welfare promote trailhounds as pets and home up to 80 hounds a year. We have homed over 1000 hounds since we were formed in 1997. We home many youngsters who do not take to racing, as well as older hounds when they retire from trailing in the Lake District.
